A Celebration of the Seasons: monthly session
Starting Tuesday 25 April 2017
Join us each month to celebrate the season, and enjoy a taste of the ‘good life’ in the city by bringing the joy of home grown produce and seasonal activities into our busy lives!
Rediscover traditional ways of noticing, appreciating and embracing the changes in the seasons, and exploring how to make the best use of the produce you grow and what you find locally – in the garden, allotment, countryside and seaside.
These evenings are for lovers of gardens, plants, food and drink, and traditional crafts.
The small group size will allow space for discussion and creativity, all set against the backdrop of the beautiful Garden House garden.
Hands-on activities and demonstrations will include:
- finding out what to do in the garden and when
- how to make the best of garden produce, including different preserving methods
- how to be creative with found objects in the countryside, seashore and garden
We will sample seasonal recipes and share gardening tips, all topped off with a homemade supper and a glass of celebration drink.
We also like to include extracts from literature and folklore to celebrate the season.
Do come along and share your ideas as well as learning some new skills
Cost: £118 for three sessions, £148 for four, £175 for five, and £200 for six, one each month – including supper and a glass of wine. Please contact us to confirm your place and for payment.
