Create your own Garden Art Journal

Love the idea of making your own garden journal? Join local artist and journal-maker Sue Wood for our small and friendly 10-session creative course where you can create your own sketchbook or visual diary using photographs, collage, notes and/or sketches.

“As a practising visual artist, I have been keeping sketchbooks since I was 16. My sketchbook and my camera are my two essential travel companions. To me there is nothing more satisfying at the end of a journey, or a visit to a garden or gallery, than starting to put together a visual record. I combine sketches, photographs, notes and whatever tickets, leaflets and other bits and pieces I have collected together. This is a very portable form of art – all that’s really needed is a pair of scissors, glue and a selection of paints.”

Cost: £100 (one afternoon a week for ten weeks) – and includes refreshments! Thursday afternoons, starting 6 October for 10 weeks, 2pm to 4pm.  Places are limited so do contact us as soon as possible.
