First Time Gardener: 8-week course
Starting Wednesday 5 October 2011
***** This event has now finished *****
THIS COURSE IS NOW FULL – WE’LL BE ADDING NEW COURSE DATES SOON! Our autumn course is for all you first time gardeners out there! It is designed for the real beginner – to improve your knowledge, gardening skills – and to give you all the confidence you need to tackle and enjoy your own garden.
Learn the difference between trees, shrubs, climbers, perennials, biennials, annuals and bulbs. If the weather is good we’ll have practical activities in the garden.
The course covers the basics of testing and improving soil, propagation, pruning, pest and disease control, and how to identify weeds. We’ll also consider how to plan your garden, and the most vital lesson ‘right plant for the right place’!
Eight Wednesday evening sessions starting at 6.30pm and finish at 9pm.
Cost: £225 – to include a light supper and a glass of wine! Places are limited so do contact us as soon as possible.
Dates: Wednesdays 5, 12, 19 October, then 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 November 2011
Venue: The Garden House, 5 Warleigh Road, Brighton BN1 4NT
