Gardening from Scratch: 6-session course

Thursday 13th September - Friday 2nd November

Have fun and be inspired as you learn the basics of gardening. Our Wednesday evening course is designed for beginner gardeners – to improve your knowledge and gardening skills and to give you the confidence to nurture and enjoy your garden.

Learn how to grow healthy plants.  Learn about plant life cycles, the naming of plants, the basics of soil management, composting, making your garden more sustainable, seed sowing and taking cuttings, plus an introduction to pruning, pest/disease and weed control, and one session on starting a vegetable garden or patch.

As well as horticultural theory there will be practical hands-on learning, and demonstrations of seasonal tasks.

Thursday evening sessions starting at 6.30 pm, finishing at 9.15pm

Cost: £235 each person – to include a vegetarian supper with a glass of wine!

Dates: 13 and 27 September, then 11 and 25 October, finally 1 and 15 November
