History of Gardens and Plants: 4-session course

Explore the history of gardens and plants with expert Pat Dauncey. Pat will be looking at plant introductions as well as the garden styles and features of different periods – medieval and tudor, 17th/18th centuries, the Victorian era, and 20th/21st century developments.

This will be a fun and interactive course, with plenty of group activities such as contributing to a timeline, creating a portfolio of individual plant introductions to Britain, and identifying garden features.

There will also be a visit to a local historic garden or landscape.

Dates: 2, 9, 16 and 23 May 2017

Cost: £100 – to include tea and cake. Afternoon sessions start at 2pm and finish at 4.30pm.
