Rag-rug making; two-part course
Tuesdays 16 and 30 March 2010
Join inspirational craftswoman Sue Samways for our two-part course on the traditional craft of rag-rugging: Tuesday evenings 16 and 30 March. This technique of turning unwanted textiles into hard-wearing decorative rugs or hangings has been used for hundreds of years, handed down through the generations.
Sue will show you how to transform scraps of fabric or used old clothing into colourful rag rugs. You don’t need to have a design in mind but if you do, Sue can help you interpret it…
Cost: £45 – for two evening sessions, to include wine and nibbles.
*SPECIAL OFFER – if you book Mosaics, Rag Rugging and Knitting courses together, you pay a special all in price of £150
These are evening sessions, starting at 6.30pm and finishing at 9.15pm. Come with a friend - spaces are limited so do book early!
Location: The Garden House, 5 Warleigh Road, Brighton BN1 4NT
