RHS Workshop: Getting Started with a School Garden

Tuesday 13 March 2012

***** This event has now finished *****

Spring is the perfect time to get started with growing in your school.  Whether you’re setting up a garden from scratch or developing an existing site this course will help you to get your pupils and staff growing successfully.  Develop your own skills in basic garden planning & design as well as getting advice on how to get the best from your site.  Discover which crops work best for the school year and how to use gardening to deliver the curriculum. You do not need a vast area to create a garden, this course will also include gardening in small spaces. This day is suitable for absolute beginners with no experience of gardening or those who want to learn further skills.

  • To enable teachers to plan a practical and useful school garden, and consider Health & Safety.
