Sewing: Make a Fabric bag or Cushion

Improve your sewing skills and enjoy a fun, supportive and relaxing day at the Garden House.  Be inspired, make a bag or cushion with expert Julia Hincks – hand-sew or learn to use a machine more effectively.

Fabric bag:  choose the design, add decoration using hand embroidery and applique techniques or keep it simple and stunning with patterned fabrics.

OR

Cushion: brighten up your home with some new cushions.  Learn how to make simple envelope cushions or add closures using buttons, buttonholes, velcro or zips, and learn how to add piping to your seams or add decoration to plain fabrics using hand embroidery or applique techniques.

Julia will advise you about fabric to bring, plus other materials, such as cushion pads and sewing kits nearer the time.   All other materials will be provided.

Cost: £60 to include a delicious lunch with a glass of wine.

This workshop will start at 10.30pm and finish at approx. 3.30pm. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
