Taster day, bulbs, book signing and Terre a Terre foodie day!

Come along to The Garden House and join our FREE mini-events day!

To preview our autumn events we’ve asked many of the course-leaders to hold mini taster sessions, discussing their upcoming workshops and courses and showing examples of their work.  Come and meet them!

Bridgette Saunders will be signing copies of her recently published book Allotment Gardening – PLUS the fabulous Brighton-based vegetarian food specialists Terre a Terre will be providing food for the day. We will also have wine and coffee available.

We’ll have spring-flowering bulbs for sale too – a wide selection of our favourite tulips, alliums, muscari, narcissi and hyacinth – it’s a great time to buy, perfect timing for early forcing for indoors, or planting outside in autumn.

You will be encouraged to browse our resource library and its wealth of gardening books, magazines and reference material.

The day will be FREE, we’d love you to drop in at any time between at 11am and 4pm.  Bring a friend or two and enjoy the garden and all our fun events…

We’ve timed our taster day (and pop-up restaurant on Friday 3 September – see DIARY) to coincide with The Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival (1 Sept to 7 October 2010).  This celebration of the best food and drink to be found in the city and wider Sussex, has producers, restaurants, pubs and bars, retailers, markets & great events firmly at its heart. www.brightonfoodfestival.com
