***** This event has now finished *****

Join us for our visit to the spectacular Tulip Festival at Pashley Manor in Ticehurst, East Sussex.  The Festival is undoubtedly one of the highlights of spring – you will be mesmerised by the sheer volume of colour and variety of the massed tulips.

The Festival was originated to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the tulip’s arrival in Europe from Persia. Now in its 17th year, the Festival gives visitors the chance to lose themselves among the 22,000 blooms gracing this English Garden.

Some 100 varieties are shown from the vibrant red and hot orange tulips in the herbaceous borders to the cream, white, pale golden yellow and apricot tulips in the Elizabethan Garden and the pink and white tulips along the Terrace.

Complementing the themed tulips of every hue will be the 2,000 cut blooms on display in vases.

On the way back to Brighton we’ll visit the very beautiful Marchants Hardy Plants nursery at Laughton, just outside Lewes, Sussex.  Marchants’ proprietor is Graham Gough, the well known planstman and specialist in perennials and grasses.  It’s a visit not to be missed!

Cost: £38 – refreshments on the coach will be provided.  This is a daytime event, leaving The Garden House by coach at 10am, and returning at approx. 5pm.

Location: The Garden House, 5 Warleigh Road, Brighton BN1 4NT
