Watercolour workshop with Kate Osborne

Thursday 28 June 2012

We’re delighted to confirm that inspirational artist, Kate Osborne, is coming to The Garden House.  A regular exhibitor during Brighton’s Art Festival, Kate’s light and distinctive hand is much admired – especially by us!

This workshop will be ideal for those who want to expand their watercolour skills or try it for the first time – a wonderful opportunity to loosen up and take risks, draw with the brush, paint wet-in-wet using rich saturated colour, allowing for happy accidents and learning when to control and when to let go.

The Garden House garden, chickens, cats, vegetables and plants will all be inspiration for those taking part!

Kate says “I now work very freely in watercolour, with the minimum of compositional drawing; this gives the paintings an unpremeditated
look, which attempts to express the beautiful but transitory nature of the
subject matter.”
