Gardening from Scratch: 6-session course

Wednesday 18th September - Wednesday 23rd October

Have fun and be inspired as you learn the basics of gardening. Our Wednesday morning sessions are designed for beginner gardeners – to improve your knowledge and gardening skills and to give you the confidence to nurture and enjoy your garden.

“Just a note to say that your course has really made me look at the garden and all that is growing around us with eyes open and it’s been great. A really good basis from which to build. “   Email received from Ian L who came on a previous Gardening from Scratch course.

Learn how to grow healthy plants; plant life cycles, the naming of plants, the basics of soil management, composting, making your garden more sustainable, seed sowing and taking cuttings, plus an introduction to pruning, pest/disease and weed control, and one session on starting a vegetable garden or patch.

As well as horticultural theory there will be practical hands-on learning in the garden and demonstrations of seasonal tasks.

Cost: £245 each person – to include coffee and cake each week

Dates:  Wednesday mornings – 18, 25 September, then 2, 9, 16 and 23 October 2019 – 10am to 1pm

BOOK ONLINE. If you are unable to pay online, please contact us to find out about alternative ways of paying.
