Starting 11 January (Weds evenings) – Gardening from Scratch: 8-session course, CLICK HERE for more info and to book.

Have fun and be inspired as you learn the basics of gardening. Our Wednesday evening course is designed for beginner gardeners – to improve your knowledge and gardening skills and to give you the confidence to nurture and enjoy your garden. Learn how to grow healthy plants.  Learn about plant life cycles, the naming of plants, the basics of soil management, composting, making your garden more sustainable, seed sowing and taking cuttings, plus an introduction to pruning, pest/disease and weed control, and one session on starting a vegetable garden or patch.

The cost for this 8-session course is £295 – to include a vegetarian supper with a glass of wine!

Starting 12 January (Thurs mornings) – Plantsmanship: 8-session course, CLICK HERE for more info and to book.

This 8-session course is ideal for plant enthusiasts, keen gardeners or professional horticulturalists wanting to increase their knowledge and skills – and is designed to improve your plant knowledge by looking closely at plants, how they grow and where they thrive.

The cost for this 8-session course is £325 – to include refreshments

Wednesday 22 February Garden House visit to the wonderful winter gardens at RHS Wisley, CLICK HERE for more info and to book.

We have organised a tour with Linda Dolan, a Garden House friend and Wisley guide, who will take us round the Winter Garden and point out the highlights. Enjoy the beautiful winter landscape, looking at groups of dogwood, willow and whitewashed bramble, coloured tree barks and many different types of bulb and ground cover plants, plus relish the delights of winter flowering shrubs such as Viburnum, Mahonia, Sarcococca and Chimonanthus…

There will be ‘free’ time as well – for lunch, shopping and general wandering!

The cost will be £35 per person for RHS members (plus an extra £14.50 to be paid on the day for non RHS members), and we’ll be leaving Brighton (from The Garden House, 5 Warleigh Road, Brighton BN1 4NT) by coach at 9.30 returning by 4.30pm.
