What's On

Birds, Birds, Birds: evening talk

Wednesday 12th November | 6:30pm - 9:00pm

Do you love birds and want to know more about the ones in your garden and beyond?

Whether you’re a beginner or a keen birder, join us for a fascinating evening talk with a local ecologist, Alex Rossenfield, to celebrate the birds around us, in parks, gardens and open spaces.

Over the evening, we’ll explore:

  • How to identify common garden birds by their plumage, calls, and songs
  • What (and what not!) to feed birds, plus tips on attracting them to your garden
  • The best choices for nest boxes and how to site them
  • The mysteries of bird migration and how it works
  • Bird ringing – what it is, how it’s done, and why it matters

There will also be time for open discussion, questions, and sharing your own experiences – and to make the evening extra special, we’ll round things off with a light supper and a glass of wine!

Cost: £35, to include light supper and a glass of wine.

Date: Wednesday 12 November  / 6.30pm – 9pm

PLEASE BOOK ONLINE. If you are unable to pay online, please contact us to find out about alternative ways of paying.
