Develop your gardening skills for the new season!

We’ve two great new courses due to start soon as always the agenda is to learn, have fun, meet new people and build your gardening skills!

Our 7-week Gardening for Beginners course will improve your horticultural knowledge and gardening skills, giving you the confidence to tackle and enjoy your garden.

The Monday evening sessions start at 6.15pm and finish at 9.15pm and will cover all the basics: planning, propagation, pruning, pest, diseases and weed control, and soil management, plus the most vital lesson ‘right plant for the right place’!  You’ll learn the difference between trees, shrubs, climbers, perennials, biennials, annuals and bulbs and depending on the weather (!) we will enjoy practical activities in the garden.

The cost is £240 and includes a glass of wine and a delicious light supper each session.  The dates are 15, 22 and 29 April, then 13, 20, 27 May, and 3 June 2013.

 

 

Another exciting learning opportunity this spring is our very special 10-week Plants for Places course combining as it does study sessions at The Garden House in Brighton, plus visits to some great nurseries, an allotment and two other local gardens.

The Wednesday evening sessions are designed to help you decide with confidence which plant should go where.  You will also widen your knowledge of types of plants and their attributes and build up your own portfolio of plant profiles.

The cost of this course is £275 (£250 if you have been on one of our other gardening courses) and includes delicious light suppers with a glass of wine! You can also dip into this course by paying £70 for two sessions covering one topic.  The evening sessions start at 6.15pm and finish at 9.15pm.

Places for both courses are limited so do contact us as soon as possible.
