Celebrating the Seasons

In 2021 the Garden House will be CELEBRATING THE SEASONS in style. 

In the rather dull days of January we want to bring some joy into our lives, and to relish the many good things the winter garden can offer! Our 2021 series of Celebrating the Seasons workshops will be, we feel, just what we need after the past year.

Initially, each month we will hold a Zoom Webinar, lasting about 90 minutes, to include:

• Looking closely at plants that are looking good that month
• What to do in the garden – practical tasks
• Propagation demonstration (in January, how to take hardwood cuttings)
• Create a design element  (in January, how to make a focal-point winter container)
• Seasonal recipe(s)
• Fireside reading suggestions – a book, short story, a poem
• Recommendations for gardening related social media – podcasts, Instagram etc.

Cost: Each webinar costs £25.00.

Date:  Thursday 14 January at 2.30pm.  Future monthly dates are to be decided, and will continue to be on Zoom until we can teach face-to-face again at the Garden House.

Following the Zoom demonstration you can opt to visit the Garden House here in Brighton to see our Winter Garden, plus buy and collect all the necessary plants etc to make your winter container. You will also be able buy a coffee/tea and cake to enjoy outdoors.  All visits are within the current Covid19 guidelines.

We have so many ideas for 2021 and are planning optimistically, but holding our breath waiting for the new regulations … and the vaccine!
