Food preserving expert Caroline Whiteman is joining us again at the Garden House to lead a fascinating workshop on how to ferment food successfully. Fermented foods are incredibly good for your health, taste fantastic and are pretty expensive to buy in shops. So why not learn to make your own?
In this hands-on workshop Caroline will take you through the easy steps to create your own delicious and nutrient dense ferments at home. We will explore different accessible techniques to preserve vegetables as well as sharing ideas and skills to include these foods in your everyday diet.
During the workshop you will make Korean Kimchi, Sauerkraut and vegetables fermented in brine to take home. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and sample some fermented delicacies.
Cost: £60 to include Kimchi pancakes to snack on.
Date: Monday 25 Nov / 1pm – 4pm
