How to be a Gardener: 6-session course

Wednesday 5th June - Wednesday 24th July

This popular course is for those of you who want to improve your horticultural skills, either in your own garden or are planning a career in horticulture.  It is a learning by doing course – introduction to the theory, followed by practice in the garden.

Wednesday evenings 5, 12, 19 June, then 10, 17, 24 July / 6.30pm – 9pm

The course will cover seasonal gardening, bringing a greater understanding of:

·     soil and composting

·     growing plants from seed or cuttings

·     planting and managing containers

·     design in the garden

·     principles of summer pruning

·     selecting the right plant for the right place

·     how to manage weeds and pests and diseases.

Informal and friendly atmosphere with time for questions and answers and discussion as well as top tips.  We look forward to welcoming you!

Cost: £275 to include a delicious supper and a glass of wine (PRICE REDUCTION: £255 if you have attended one of our other courses in the last two years – if so, please contact us)

CANCELLATION POLICY: We give a full refund (minus the Eventbrite administrative fee) if you cancel 8 weeks or more before an event, workshop or course.  Should you need to cancel within 8 weeks and are unable to attend, we ask you to find a friend to take your place.  To assist you, we will also try to find someone to take your place, but if this is not possible we will not be able to offer a refund.
