Invitation to join The Garden House Friday Group!

Posted:5 July 2013

This is an invitation to join the now nearly famous Friday gardening group who gather weekly to garden, chat and learn an invaluable opportunity to garden throughout the year working and learning with the season in one of the most unique gardens in Brighton.

Here we grow flowers, fruit, vegetables, shrubs, trees and cut flowers and container plants.  There’s also a pond, a greenhouse, compost areas and propagation areas!

The idea of the group is to inspire and teach horticultural techniques, to gain skills that are transferable to your own garden, or for those of you who need practical experience to support other studies or work.  We also hope to complete a hard landscaping project during the year.

Each Friday session begins with plant identification, coffee/tea and biscuits and the opportunity for questions and answers.

The only requirements are that you are prepared to have a go, are able to attend most of the sessions, enjoy an informal setting for learning, like to have fun and can make the odd cake or two!

Our overall goal is to get the garden ready to open for a local charity of the groups choice at the end of the year – this year our charity is Spiral, and the garden will be open Sunday 14 July.

If you would like to join the Friday gardening group, please contact us contact@gardenhousebrighton.co.uk

Our gardening year begins on Friday 13 September 2013  the cost is £300 for the year. Every Friday, during term time only, from 9.15am to 1pm.

We can guarantee you will have lots of fun and learn loads!
