One of the things we love at The Garden House is the opportunity to meet with enthusiastic like-minded people who want to find out more about gardening those who want to understand better the practical in’s and out’s of horticulture and those who just love exploring their creative side and having fun!

These photos show students of our Gardening for Beginner’s 6-session Course absorbed in their weekly investigations every week holds a new experience or learning opportunity and a chance to enjoy a practical demonstration of a seasonal task.

And let’s face it, when it comes to gardening your instinct can only take you so far, we all need to confidence and support in making the best decisions to create the most beautiful or productive garden. Finding out about plant life cycles, the naming of plants, the basics of soil management, composting, seed sowing and taking cuttings are all essential aspects of getting the best from your ‘outdoor room’.

Check out our website DIARY links for our next courses, workshops and open days.

If you would to learn more by seeing more, why not visit The Garden House on 7 June for our Specialist Plant Fair, or on the weekend of 21 and 22 June when we open for the local Garden Gadabout in aid of the Sussex Beacon.  Or, to see how other gardeners cope with their own garden challenges join our Hidden Gardens of Brighton evening visits – 25 June, 2, 9 and 16 July four quite different and very special spaces to explore and to enjoy a light picnic and wine while chatting to the owners!
