Join the Garden House for our second trip to the island of Madeira, a very special place and well-named as a ‘plant person’s paradise’.
We had such an enjoyable time in 2019 that we knew we wanted to return, hence this trip – and February is a great time to escape the short days at the tail-end of winter!
The cost includes:
*We’re staying in the same hotel as before. 7 nights, bed & breakfast, at the 4* Golden Residence Hotel in Funchal.
*Return flights, Gatwick to Funchal.
*Guide, plus luxury coach for all Madeira trips.
*Visits to several interesting gardens, including Monte Palace Exotic Gardens, the Palheiro Garden, and the Quinta Jardins do Lago.
*Four lunches (*) and two evening meals in selected restaurants.
*Madeiran cooking experience – learn about traditional Madeiran food and prepare a lunch to share (*).
*Madeiran wine tasting
*Cocktail and nibbles at the famous Reid’s Hotel.
*Levada walk, and Toboggan ride (not compulsory!).
*Cable car ride.
*Free time to explore further or shop!
We are delighted to confirm the same guide as our last visit. She was friendly, professional and fun – and very knowledgeable about the gardens, plants and history of this very special island.
Cost: Sharing, either in a double or twin-bedded room, is £1,750 each person, and for a single room, (double room with single occupancy), is £1,950.
