Gardening from Scratch: 6-session course

Wednesday 21st September - Wednesday 2nd November

Join our 6-session Wednesday evening course (6pm – 9pm / 21, 29 September,  5, 12, 19 October and 2 November) for beginner gardeners and improvers.  Have fun and be inspired as you learn the basics of gardening:  how to grow healthy plants, the naming and the life cycles of plants, the basics of soil management, composting, making your garden more sustainable, seed sowing and taking cuttings, plus an introduction to pruning, pest/disease and weed control, and vegetable growing.

On each evening we will look closely and identify five plants, plus there will be practical demonstrations and some hands-on activities. backed up with notes and handouts.

These Wednesday evening sessions are designed for those of you who are new to gardening, or wish to improve your knowledge and gardening skills, to give you the confidence to nurture and enjoy your garden or allotment.

Cost: £275 each person – to include a vegetarian supper and a glass of wine.   Either pay online or contact us if you would like to pay in instalments.
