One-day painting workshop with Brighton-based artist and teacher Seana Mallen. For painters who have already scratched the surface of the garden of watercolour delights, it’s time to dig a little deeper!
Inspired by early spring’s plants, trees and colour, Seana will explore the brilliant spectrum of watercolour painting through a variety of experimental techniques that are fun, easy, and astonishingly effective. Focusing on brushstrokes, wet-in-wet colour mixing and washes. Seana will also introduce participants to working with pen and ink, and Quink ink and bleach.
Play with inks and paints, learn to control a nuanced brushstroke to create leaves and petals in a single beautiful stroke, mix gorgeous colour, and get big and bold with expressive ink!
The workshop is not about botanical illustration, but more about capturing the radiant spirit of the garden and opening the door to your own expression and creativity. Seana has over 30yrs experience inspiring and nurturing every budding artist’s creative voice with sensitivity, humour, and a great sense of fun – you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve!
The course is limited to 6 people, so please book soon to secure a place.

**COVID update: As the Garden House studio is a relatively small space and for the safety of all, we have reduced the number of participants in our workshops. We would also prefer participants to have had double/triple vaccinations, or to have taken a Lateral Flow Test before joining the group (we have some available if needed). Thank you for your understanding.
