Steve Edney: Plants for the Dry Garden – ZOOM talk

* THIS EVENT HAS NOW FINISHED *

Wednesday 14th April

Here at the Garden House we are transforming our lawn into a ‘dry bed’, an area where drought tolerant plants will thrive, so with this in mind we are so delighted to have Steve talk on this subject. He is both knowledgeable and a very amusing speaker.

Steve has been perfecting his art for 28 years. In 2005 he joined the Salutation garden in Sandwich to steer and manage its huge restoration project. In 2019 we look a group to see these fabulous, imaginative and inspirational gardens. Recognised as among the finest in the country, the gardens have won multiple awards.

The picture above shows Steve at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2018 having won gold for his very innovative and striking display of seed heads.

Steve is involved in many plant trials with the RHS, and often appears on Gardener’s World and other TV programmes.  He is passionate about creating gardens that are homes for people and wildlife – his own garden, which he created with his partner Louise, is a unique and rather wonderful tropical paradise, featured on Gardener’s World, in national gardening magazines and had several book mentions.

An invitation to Zoom will be sent to you on the day, so you will need to be familiar with communicating through Zoom.

Cost: £25 per person

Please BOOK ONLINE – if you are unable to pay online, please contact us to find out about alternative ways of paying.

Date:  Tuesday 14 April at 2pm
