Summer Garden Gadabout – Chatsworth RHS Flower Show and more!

We are really thrilled to be able to tell you about our summer trip this year – a trip to Chatsworth RHS Flower Show (www.chatsworth.org) plus much, much more!
We will include a visit to York Gate, voted as one of the best gardens in Britain to visit, and to Hill Close Gardens, restored Victorian leisure gardens with an on-site nursery, and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
- Friday 12 June
Leaving Brighton at midday, and travel to Matlock, Derbyshire, by coach
Stay at Premier Inn Matlock
Dinner at local restaurant
- Saturday 13 June
Visit RHS flower show at Chatsworth House, and then a private tour around the cutting garden behind the scenes at Chatsworth
Return to hotel
Dinner at own expense
- Sunday 14 June
Travel to York Gate Garden (perennial.org.uk) and have a guided tour from the Head Gardener
Lunch at York Gate
Travel to Yorkshire Sculpture Park (www.ysp.org.uk)
Continue our journey to Uppingham, Rutland, to stay for two nights at the Falcon Hotel (www.falcon-hotel.co.uk)
Dinner at own expense
- Monday 15 June
Travel to the Old Rectory Quinton (garden4good.co.uk) and then, after a pub lunch, visit the Herb Nursery at Thistleton (www.herbnursery.co.uk) before returning to our hotel in Uppingham
Last night meal together in the hotel
- Tuesday 16 June
Travel to Hill Close Gardens (hillclosegardens.com) in Warwick with a tour around the 16 individual hedged gardens in these restored Victorian gardens
Picnic in the gardens
Return to Brighton – arriving at approx. 17.30pm
Cost: £920.00 each person in a twin-bedded or double room, and £1095 for single occupancy of a double room. This includes the accommodation and breakfast, the travel, the garden entrance fees and tours, two suppers, one picnic, one pub lunch. You are very welcome to pay in instalments.
