Summer Garden Visit – Marchants Hardy Plants

* THIS EVENT HAS NOW FINISHED *

Wednesday 10th August | 10:30am - 2:30pm

Knowing how much we all love to visit and be inspired by other people’s gardens, we have been busy arranging some exciting private garden visits – a real treat for a summer’s day out!

Established by plantsman Graham Gough in 1998, Marchants Hardy Plants is widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading small independent Nursery and Gardens.  It is a garden that specialises in hardy perennials and grasses.  They have a particularly fine collection of Agapanthus, many unique to Marchants.

When establishing the gardens, the broad landscape of the Sussex Weald and South Downs provided a rich source of inspiration. By selecting and experimenting with plants and plantings of a more expressive style, this is a garden that melds almost seamlessly with the timeless beauty of the vista beyond.

At Marchants almost everything is propagated from stock plants grown in the garden, hence the Marchants team know intimately both the provenance and growing preferences of all the plants sold on the Nursery.
