The Allure of Plants: 6-session course

Tuesday 17th September

Extend your plant knowledge and relish the delights of different plants and their place in the garden from both a design and a horticultural perspective.

This 6-session course which will cover an in-depth study of plants for shade, suitable trees for the garden, plants to attract pollinating insects, bees, butterflies etc., interesting and unusual plant combinations, choosing and designing with bulbs through out the year, plus consider the latest trends in horticultural techniques and design.

During the course participants will create their own mood board(s), either digitally or using paper images, as an aide memoire.

Each person will decide on a plant family to research in depth.

The course is designed for people who are interested in plants and design and have some basic plant knowledge.

Cost: £260 per person, to include materials plus a vegetarian supper with wine each week. Limited to 10 participants, so do book soon.

Date:  Tuesday evenings – 17 September, then 1, 8, 22 October, then 12, 26 November 2019, 6.30pm – 9.15pm
